Whats Deglado College Like In New Orleans?

is it safe? does it have good art programs? How is the DTR program? I’m thinking about living there by myself but I am concerned with the crime levels, and traffic

Delgado is safe and in a very nice neighborhood. Most of Delgado’s campus did NOT flood during Katrina.
Traffic is not much of an issue and the campus has lots of parking. It is a commuter community college so there are no dormitories or other on-campus housing for students. New Orleans is a good and safe place to live so long as you stay away from crack cocaine and the people who use it.
I am not familiar with the DTR program, so you might want to re-post your question in the New Orleans section of the Travel category as you should get more responses from locals.
    Good luck!

Like any city, if you use your common sense and don’t go into the bad neighborhoods and don’t sell hard drugs, you’ll be fine. New Orleans crime is way to hyped up. It’s bad but most murders are crack-cocaine related or domestic violence. Delgado is ok, it’s a community college. I know a few people who went there and they are doing pretty good with theirselves. Better college then no college.
