Fake robbery, real arrests in New Orleans suburb
GRETNA, La. (AP) – A robbery at a suburban New Orleans convenience store turned out to be fake, but eight suspects are facing real legal trouble. Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand said in a news release that authorities got a call Sunday evening about an armed robbery.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand says that 19-year-old Charles Adams, who was arrestedover the weekend by New Orleans police, is also a suspect in a violent home invasion in Old Metairie.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand said emergency operators received a call today at 9:30 a.m. of a stabbing in the 2200 block of North Arnoult Road in Metairie at Cascades Apartments.
